CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (AP) -- A group of Wisconsin residents is working to find homes for 11 orphan boys abandoned on the streets in the Philippines.
The seven Wisconsinites are part of the Adoption Ambassador Program, which is a project of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
They recently traveled to the Philippines to get to know the boys.
Pam Holsinger-Fuchs of Chippewa Falls was adopted as a child and felt compelled to get involved in the program.
She says four of the 11 boys are already going through the adoption process.
The boys range in age from 5 to 13 and their parents' legal rights have been terminated.
