Madison (WKOW) -- from Madison PD: On Monday, a 16-year old Madison girl reported to the Madison police that she had been punched and struck in the face with a glass bottle.
The victim says three other teenage girls and a teenage boy confronted her Monday afternoon at the intersection of University Avenue and Park Street.
She says one of the girls first punched her in the face, and then a second girl - who she only describes as a black teen - struck her with the bottle.
She says the bottle did not break upon impact, but that the second girl did smash it on the ground.
The victim claims the second girl then waved the broken bottle at her, and that it cut her finger.
She says the dispute was over accusations of someone stealing someone else's boyfriend.
The first girl is described as a black female, roughly 16-18 years old, with slender a build and braided hair that hat some red in it.
