Green Bay (WKOW) -- Packers player Mark Tauscher is set to be the teams' Walter Payton NFL Man Of The Year.
The offensive tackle will receive $1,000 for his charity, Tauscher's Reading Initiative For Every Child To Achieve (TRIFECTA).
Tauscher is also in the running for the league-wide award, competing against 32 other players.
He's currently in his ninth season playing for the Packers, and has played 118 games - starting 116 times.
In 2006, Tauscher suffered a groin injury, only to bounce back quickly and resume his starter status.
Tauscher, who's from Marshfield, is involved in the community and regularly visits schools, hospitals, and food pantries.
He also does a lot of work for non-profit organizations and veterans' support.
Tauscher founded TRIFECTA in 2005 and has raised more than $110,000 to help children across the state.
