DeForest girls' swimming and diving team won their third straight state title.
The best individual finish for the Norskies was third, but because of depth, they had swimmers in every event and won easily over second-place Grafton.
"I think this is the most special because at the beginning of the year we didn't think we would be here. But the girls have worked so far together," DeForest coach Sue Winckler said.
Sauk Prairie finished fourth in the team event, Madison Edgewood fifth, Monona Grove was seventh and Baraboo also cracked the top ten by finishing ninth.
There were also a few local girls bringing home first place medals.
Hayley Martin of Monona Grove won the school's first ever individual state title in the 50m freestyle.
Martin anchored Monone Grove's 200m freestyle relay team that took first and set a new D2 state record.
Abby Diehl of Sauk Prairie won the 100m freestyle and was the anchor for the state champion 400m freestyle relay winners.
Berlin/Green Lake's Siri Smits set a new D2 record in the 100m backstroke.
Plymouth's Kate Criter also set a new D2 record in the 100m breaststroke.
