Reedsburg (WKOW) -- from WI Dept. of Transportation: Governor Jim Doyle has approved a $315,790 project to pay for several improvements at the Reedsburg Municipal Airport.
The governor's action releases $7,895 in state funds to acquire snow removal equipment and provide for removal of an obstruction in the runway approach area.
The city of Reedsburg is contributing another $7,895 and the Federal Aviation Administration is providing $300,000.
According to Michael Gabor, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the new equipment will make it easier and faster to remove snow during inclement weather.
The project is scheduled to be completed during the fall of 2008.
