Packers' pass rush fails to pressure Brees

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Bob Sanders says the defense was off balance from the start against the New Orleans Saints, and never seemed to regain any balance.

The Packers' defense collapsed against the Saints' top-ranked passing game in Monday night's NFC showdown at the Louisiana Superdome.

Green Bay's pass rush failed to pressure Saints quarterback Drew Brees.

The Saints scored at will and sent the Packers crashing to a 51-29, their worst defeat in two years.

A Packers' defense that came into the game ranked 12th in scoring defense gave up 50 points or more for the first time since losing to the New York Giants 55-24 on Dec. 20, 1986.
