Middleton PD declares zero tolerance for holiday drunk driving
Middleton (WKOW) -- from Middleton PD: On Friday, the Middleton Police Department will be heavily patrolling for and arresting drivers operating under the influence.
Statistics show that the Friday after Thanksgiving has a higher than average number of alcohol-related traffic crashes throughout the State of Wisconsin.
That day and other high incidence days during the next year will be specifically targetted for strict enforcement as part of the Middleton Police Department's participation in the alcohol enforcement grant.
Officers on overtime and regular patrol will target roads that have a high number of alcohol-related crashes.
There will be zero tolerance for those found to be driving under the influence.
In addition, they will have zero tolerance for those drivers and passengers violating seat belt laws.
