Search is on for Town of Madison shooting suspect


Town of Madison (WKOW) -- from Town of Madison PD:  Town of Madison Police have told 27 News that 24-year-old Robert Echols is their prime suspect in the shooting of a woman on Thanksgiving night.

  The incident took place on the 100 block of Alhambra Place at roughly 9:50 p.m.

  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

  The police believe the victim was not the intended target and is known to the suspect.

  The intended victim was not hurt and is safe.

  After their investigation, the Town of Madison Police Department plans to arrest Echols.

  He is described as 6'01", 190 lbs and is 24 years old.

  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a picture of a man on it and the words "RIP Kuz."

  Echols ran from the scene of the crime and police believe he has a handgun.

  Police officers do not know if Echols has access to a vehicle, but they have said that the suspect has contacts in Milwaukee and Chicago.
