UPDATE: Victim identified in fatal Lake Delton hit-and-run

Delton (WKOW) -- from Sauk Co. Sheriff (12/03 2:00pm update):  The woman killed in the hit and run crash has been identified as Judith A. Denman from Lake Delton.

  The Sauk County Sheriff has also narrowed down the description of the suspect's vehicle to  a Dodge Caravan, Dodge Grand Caravan, Chrysler Town and Country, or Plymouth Voyager make between 2001 and 2007.


From Sauk Co. Sheriff:  Tuesday night, a deputy with the Sauk County Sheriff was helping a pedestrian cross USH 12 in the Township of Delton.

  A 62-year-old woman crossed the road to talk to the deputy and ask for help.

  As she crossed the road, a large dark minivan hit the woman and drove off.

  The woman suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to the UW Hospital in Madison, where she later died from her injuries.

  The Sauk County Sheriff believes that the vehicle that hit the woman should have damage to the passsenger side windshield and the passenger side headlight.
