Madison (WKOW) -- The infamous bull mastiff who attacked and killed another dog in Middleton last August has been given a stay of execution.
Wisconsin court records say Judge Juan Colas granted a motion to delay Igor's execution until after an appeal.
The court proceedings that will determine Igor's fate will begin again on December 11 for a new motion hearing.
On August 13, Igor attacked and killed another dog at Middleton Park.
The city council soon after voted unanimously that he be put down.
It was the third dog he attacked in the last two years.
On November 21, Dane County Judge Juan Colas agreed on the death sentence, but that order has now been overturned.
