VERONA, Wis. (AP) -- Three people have been killed in separate car accidents in Wisconsin, partly because of snowy weather and slick road conditions.
Dane County authorities say 39-year-old Gregory A. Steinke of Madison lost control of his vehicle early Saturday morning in Verona and was hit by a large pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Racine County authorities say a woman, who was not identified further, was killed in a two-car crash early Saturday morning in Burlington. Authorities say alcohol was a factor in the accident.
Pierce County authorities say 46-year-old Jeri Brunkhorst of Spring Valley was riding in a car Friday night in Martell Township when the driver lost control on a hill and hit a power pole.
Brunkhorst was pronounced dead at the scene.
