Update: Victim of bartime fight now dead


MADISON (WKOW)---UPDATE--The Dane County Coroner's office says the 27 year old male has died.  Police say he was Deland, Florida native Eduardo Cademartori.  He died from fatal head injuries. Madison police are still investigating. Two men are under arrest but police say they are still looking for a third suspect.  Cademartori was in Madison training with his racing team. He worked as a mechanic for Level 5 Motorsports.

MADISON (WKOW) -- From a Madison Police Department news released dated Sunday, December 7 at 7:29 a.m. :

"Officers who were sent to the report of an unconscious 26 yr-old man who'd been in a fight, found the victim near the intersection of State and Johnson Streets. It's believed the man was battered and that this incident began at a downtown tavern. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition. The investigation of this incident is continuing.

"The disturbance originally started at the Crave at 201 W. Gorham St. The man, who was ultimately severely injured, walked a block away to the intersection of State and Johnson Sts. At this location he was confronted by three suspects. This man was hit with a blow to the head causing him to fall to the ground. The victim lost consciousness and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim is in very serious condition. This does not appear to be a random act.
