Wis. students want to beat a snowball fight record
MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Some University of Wisconsin-Madison students are preparing to beat a world record for snowball fights.
A group of students, which has about 3,300 members on the social networking Web site Facebook, wants to beat the record they say is currently held by Michigan Tech, where 3,745 students took part in a snowball fight.
Steve Miller, a freshman who is one of the organizers, says the exact date of the event next semester will depend on the weather.
At a Tuesday night practice fight, police estimated about 400 to 500 people showed up.
