MADISON (WKOW) -- The sounds of the season fill the air at Care Wisconsin in Madison. Kathy Dyreson leads the sing along on the keyboard.
" 'Away in the Manger,' that's one of my favorite ones for the holidays," said Dyreson.
Kathy has played piano since she was five years old. "I play every pretty much almost every day for maybe an hour and a half."
She also has an ear for music. "I play everything by ear. The only lessons I took is playing my flute."
Kathy enjoys sharing her love for music. She even recently performed at Hilldale Mall's holiday show. Those who often spend time at Care Wisconsin look forward to her visits. She volunteers here twice a month.
Keep in mind, Kathy has had her own challenges in life. She lives with a disability, yet she said she's happy she's found a way to express herself. "To be able to get out and show people what I can do for them and they all love it and they want me to come back, so I enjoy it," said Dyreson with a smile.
That's why Kathy Dyreson is someone you should know.
