MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- This year's winter graduation at Edgewood College was a memorable one: commencement speaker Krista Moses collapsed on stage.
But Moses quickly recovered from her fainting spell and returned to the podium.
She joked that her return "concludes the drama portion of our program" and finished her speech.
The audience gave her a standing ovation.
College spokesman Ed Taylor says Moses' recovery and handling of the incident "was just remarkable."
The Madison native earned undergraduate degrees in French and elementary education.
Taylor says 212 students in total received degrees at Sunday's ceremony at the Alliant Energy Center.
One hundred seventy-four were undergraduate students, and 38 earned graduate degrees.
