MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- It could be a sign of the economic times.
Badgers' ticket sales for the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Florida are down sharply from previous bowl games.
The university is expected to use about 3,000 of the 12,000 tickets allotted to Wisconsin.
That includes ticket sales to the public and tickets for UW's traveling party.
Last season, the Badgers used about 9,500 tickets from their allotment of 11,000 for the Outback Bowl in Tampa.
Two seasons ago, the Badgers were in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl, Wisconsin exceeded their allotment, using about 13,500 tickets.
Many fans also purchase tickets from outside the UW ticket office.
