MINERAL POINT (WKOW) -- Cummins Emission Solutions announced Thursday afternoon it will cut its Mineral Point Plant staff by around 100 employees, because of the nation's financial crisis and what they call a "downturn in the North America truck on-highway market it serves."
The Mineral Point facility mostly makes diesel particulate filters for emission control systems, something used to help trucks meet current emissions regulations. The plant currently employs 480 people.
