Madison (WKOW) -- from US Dept. of Justice: Judge Barbara Crabb sentenced Madison resident 28-year-old Kenyotta Jones to 262 months in prison for possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute it.
This term of imprisonment will be followed by ten years of supervised release.
Jones pleaded guilty to this charge on September 30, 2008.
In sentencing Jones, Judge Crabb said that he was responsible for a large quantity of drugs and had been selling drugs for a long time.
She also noted that he was a danger to the community and to his family in that he kept his drugs in his house where his minor children lived and sold drugs in front of them.
Jones' sentence was also increased because he had two prior felony drug offenses.
The charges against Jones were the result of an investigation conducted by the Dane County Narcotics and Gang Task Force.
