Daytime burglaries in Dane County

TOWN OF BURKE (WKOW) -- The Dane County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to find the suspects responsible for several daytime burglaries last month.

The first two happened on Thursday, December 11 in the Town of Burke between around 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The suspect or suspects took electronics, computer equipment, cash, firearms and ammunition worth thousands of dollars. At an address on CTH T, detectives believe the burglars used a dolly to remove a large safe containing several firearms. In this case, the persons responsible may have been scared off by nearby traffic before they helped themselves to additional items. On home was broken into by force, the other was unlocked.

Then on Tuesday, December 23, another home on Felland Road was broken into between 10:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. There, the burglars stole electronics and furniture, and destroyed a 65-inch television.
