Bucks vs. Nets

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Before tipoff Tuesday night, the Bucks continued their celebration of the franchise's first championship in 50 years.

Players and staff received their championship rings and the banner was raised in the rafters of Fiserv Forum.

Fans also got to enjoy a dominant performance on the court from the Bucks. Milwaukee defeated Brooklyn Nets 127-104.

The Nets only lead of the game was 2-0.

The Bucks came out strong, leading 37-25 after one. The Nets cut into the lead at halftime, trailing by 7 at the break.

A Joe Harris three pointer cut it to 101-93 with just under 9 minutes to play.

A Giannis Antentokounmpo dunk, a Jordan Nwora three and then a Nwora block that led to a Grayson Allen three-pointer put the Bucks up 109-93.

Giannis led the Bucks with 32 points on 12 of 25 shooting from the field. He also had 14 rebounds and 7 assists.

Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton each had 20 points.

Kevin Durant led the Nets in scoring with 32 points.

This matchup was a rematch of the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season. The Bucks defeated the Nets in 7 games on their way to the NBA Championship.

The Bucks did get some bad news. Jrue Holiday exited the game early with a heel contusion. He didn't return to the game. Head Coach Mike Budenholzer said Holiday underwent an MRI. Tests came back negative and there is no reason for concern.

The Bucks play again Thursday against the Miami Heat.
