Police arrest a man allegedly connected to crash on Madison’s east side

UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Madison Police Department arrested a 41-year-old man Sunday allegedly connected to a single-vehicle crash on Madison's east side that left one child with minor injuries.

The crash happened Saturday at Acewood Boulevard and Goldfinch Drive and hit a child in a stroller.

Police reported the man was arrested for various charges, including; operating a moving vehicle while intoxicated, hit and run, recklessly endangering safety, felony bail jumping, and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers said the driver received medical treatment and was taken to the Dane County Jail.

MADISON (WKOW) -- Two people were hurt in a single-vehicle crash on Madison's east side Saturday, and fire officials say at least one of the victims was a child.

The City of Madison Fire Department said it took two people to the hospital Saturday after a crash around 1:17 p.m.

It happened at Acewood Boulevard and Goldfinch Drive. Madison Fire officials tell 27 News one of the people hurt was a child, and they weren't sure how old the other person was.

According to the City of Madison Police Department, the car hit a child in a stroller, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
