PORTAGE (WKOW) — While polls across Columbia County were rarely crowded, election judges saw a steady stream of voters making their way to the polls.

Columbia County clerk, Sue Moll said in previous partisan primary elections, clerks typically see a turnout between 15 and 20 percent and that’s what they expected on Tuesday.

"We haven’t seen an increase in new voter registrations, so i think you know voters are already registered maybe opting to vote absentee for whatever reason versus coming out today," she said.

Moll said Columbia County may see a lower turnout than other counties because the area did not have any contested local races on the ballot.
