Daniel Gildea is accused of sexually assaulting a minor in 2012 and 2013.

A former youth soccer coach, charged with repeatedly sexual assaulting a child, made his first court appearance in Dane County.

Gildea was first arrested in Round Rock, Texas in June, charged with repeated sexual assault of a minor. According to the criminal complaint, Gildea would put his hand down the victim’s shorts, claiming to help her stretch out her injured knee. These assaults continued for more than a year.

Daniel Gildea, now living in Round Rock, Texas, repeatedly assaulted a minor from 2012 to 2013, vaginally penetrating her with his fingers under the guise of helping her stretch out an injured knee.

A former Dane County youth soccer coach was arrested in Texas Tuesday on the tentative charge of being a fugitive from Wisconsin.
