Dan lost his battle with COVID late yesterday morning. There are no words for the void we all feel. His wife and daughters need our thoughts, prayers and support now more than ever. Trooper Stainbrook along with another trooper and an inspector were awarded a lifesaving award for their actions in February of 2020.
They responded to a two vehicle crash in Adams County in which the occupants were trapped in their vehicle. When the three men arrived on scene the vehicle was located at the bottom of a drainage ditch and water had risen to the driver's side window, the occupants couldn't escape
Together, the three men were able to get both women out of the vehicle and up an icy embankment. They were transported to the local hospital and they both fully recovered.
Their actions can be read about here.
